Francis J. Albis, Jr, AIA

A founding principal of Albis Turlington Architects, Francis Albis believes that the architectural design of a space should enrich the daily experience of occupants and visitors. Embracing clients' functional and aesthetic requirements, his designs reflect the spirit of a space and integrate smoothly with the environment. Fran Albis has been focused throughout his 25-year career on the overall synergy of project elements: managing space, light, materials, details, and floor plan to create the most fitting, best expressed image for each project.

Mr. Albis has designed extensively in the academic, retail, community, religious and private & multi-family residential arenas. Together with Richard Turlington, he founded the firm with a dedication to providing architectural services that tie high-quality design and technical concepts to superior project implementation.

Fran Albis sits on the board of the New Haven Preservation Trust and serves as the chairman of the Communications Committee. He is also a member of the Historic District Commission of New Haven, an organization that is part of the permit process in New Haven and thus approves applications for renovations or new construction.
